They were taking about this on BBC2 radio, Steve Wright's show a few weeks ago !!!
In the near future, airlines will be looking at offering 'Standing Only' tickets - apparently, the passenger will stand with their back to a flat 'wall', facing forward and buckled in across the midriff. They will still have a TV screen and folding ray on the 'wall' in front of them. Prices are expected to be lower than standard Economy.
Good to know, but completely useless to you now !! Fancy delaying your flight for a couple of decades ??!

No, not one. Its against CAA Regulations. If you want a cheap flight and you know an airline who operates the route you require... contact their cargo department and ask them if you can be "an onboard courier". This involves getting a really cheap seat for the flight on the promise that you will carry paperwork for them to the destination. You will then have to pass the paperwork on to their people at the destination. Its not dodgy, honest. Loads of airlines do it. Oh and if you are worried about the papers that you are carrying, you are allowed to look at them, but they will ask you not to divulge the contents!

To the best of my knowlege, there are no airlines at this time offering this service. You have to be seated & belted in to prevent you becoming a flying hazard to other passengers in the event of turbulence.

Not as far as I know. You have to be buckled in for take off and landing for safety reasons and then also if there is turbulence. If you were standing you would be hazardous to other passengers in the case of incident because you would be thrown onto them and possibly kill yourself and them.

Try one of the barnstorming, wingwalking companies. They'll strap you, upright, to the top of the wing of a bi-plane. Bit draughty but, I would imagine, fairly cheap!

i really dont think so, its too dangerous for you and no airlines would accept to put the life of their customers in danger and therefire they would have a bad reputation.
