I have no sense of perspective: please help....?

I can't tell whether that cow in the field is small because it is really far away or whether it is a minature cow that is fliying around really close to me

....Are there any rules of thumb I can follow to stop me from getting into trouble by getting run over by minature buses (for example) that suddenly grow to 50,000 times their size and squash me.

it means you have poor fusion for some reason. the fusion is the synthesis of what both eyes see. one of your eyes simply takes over and the other is kinda excluded. so get your eyes checked, maybe you need glassess changed, but if your weaker eye gets stronger glass lens, it may not help, it may even make things worse - like my problem then was that at shorter distances i was able to see better with my weaker eye, while more distant objects i saw better with my stronger eye and the results were that i indeed was frightened of coming cars...

discard contact lenses and stick to glassess if that is the case.

use your reason to check what you see - u know perfectly well that there are no miniature buses or cows, the floor is exactly as far from your feet as it usually is, etc. (so your condition will only trouble you when you are generally very tired)

if it is a new condition, you will get used to it (are you trying monovision - one eye for closer and the other for more distant objects?) for some people will never get used to monovision

Stop playing pirate and take that patch off of your eye. You have two eyes so you can perceive depth.
