That's a good question i remember when it came to Sundays when i was little you went to church, came home, had a big meal and relaxed for the rest of the day , no shoping, kinfolk would come visit sometimes i also remember my mother telling me that my grandmother had to make something to eat on saturday for sunday because that meant a day of rest not even no cooking yes what happened to the day of rest now everbody does everthing , shop, mow grass , work just like it was any other normal day That's sad really but i thank you for asking that question i think we all need reminded about THE DAY OF REST and god said on the 7th day he rested we need more family value and family need to spend more time togather

Commercialism got in the way, but always remember that you can choose to make Sunday your day of rest if you wish. I personally would like Sundays to be a little different from the rest of the week.

Went out years ago. Hell, I can remember when the banks were closed on wenesdays...couldn't buy beer (among other items) on sundays...and the dinosaurs roamed the earth.

people have a tendency to pack too much into one day and there for it spills over into
Sundays

It turned into greed. They found out they could make more money. Their need to chase the dollar was more important than the need of family. Pretty sick when you think about it.

All lot of work can't get done during the week, so the weekends are usually spent cleaning in my house.

it was originally Gods day of rest....we were supposed to follow his lead but got lost along the way..

That was only for the old dyas when people were farmers and stay at home housewives
