this question is really awful.. its up to them whether they want to think that they're handsome. and if you think you look good, means you are. just as what you said, you may be the ugliest person on earth, but you feel that you look the best. theres nothing wrong with being confident.. me and some of my friends find this particular guy handsome, but there are also some who said he looks like ****. everyones tastes are different. otherwise why could some ugly people get married? oh gosh now i dont understand what im saying.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....the physical attributes of a person are just the covering, its what's inside their mind that makes them beautiful. There is also another saying, that it takes 7 seconds to create 11 impressions, of course the first one will be appearance.
To only look and judge is very shallow indeed. But of course, we all do it, we all look and judge, thats only normal, but how we keep that impression or discard it is down to how well one can see through the outer covering. Sometimes, the person we deemed 'ugly' can become very beautiful once they are known to you.
This is a very wide open question with no right or wrong answer nor any clear defination, as you can see by my ramblings here......If you feel beautiful, you will be....

It's all down to personal taste. I think if someone is really, grossly ugly then they know but they could be a nice person inside. A friend of mine is really ugly but she's the life and soul of the party and gets on with everyone. If you look in the mirror and feel good about yourself then you will probably look good to others - or at least, they won't have any feelings either way.

I guess it is possible. I like a cool and hi-fi living room but my sister likes the good old cream coloured walls, brown couch and warm fireplace. Choice can vary on almost every topic you can even think about and you cannot do anything to modify or change the way another person thinks. You and your thought is an example as it is. Though you think this is an awful question, you put it up but someone else might think that you must be a freak to ask a question like this. I am OK with asking questions like this and think it is necessary for a person to clear his mind from all the doubts he has. But when I told my sis about this question, she said it was dumb. (I had to force her to apologize. Sorry!)

Beauty can be found in more places than just the face. For me when I am looking for a partner ok grand the face is the first thing you see but why not try and look at there heart even closer (and I dont mean their chest). The heart never lies to anyone cos it cant

Haha! I know what you are talking about. I know a lot of people like that but I just think "good for them". But as long as the personality is good- then they are ok to hang out with- not for anything more than just friends but as soon as they get cocky or rude I don't hold back. I give it to 'em hahah.
People are evil and vindictive by nature. Of course they are talking about your appearence behind your back if something is wrong. Especially women, we are terrible about that stuff. We would never say it to your face if you are a nice guy but... Just be a nice guy.

There are few really gross people in this world. Most of us come to realise there's always someone uglier/fatter/handsomer than you. And we've all got a place on this earth. After a while, you stop being so self conscious and get on with it!

No ur question wasnt quite as random. I had similar doubt.
yes most of us tend to think we look good whether we say it out or not. people with inferiority complex also i guess feel they are beautiful but only feel bad that no one else is recognising it. We all have to feel we are beautiful.. how ever we look. There is nothing wrong in it as long as it doesnt make us haughty.

Yes. People do have very widely differing tastes. What is beautiful to one may seem completely something else to another.
One thing I have seen people agree on is that open, smiling faces are more appealing regardless of how ugly (even scarred) they may be.

i recon so. Although a few people are genuinely hideous! Sometimes i look in the mirror and think I'm gorgeous (doesn't happen often!) and sometimes i think I'm the creature from the deep! just mind set.
What I find attractive my mate thinks is vile and vice versa, it's strange really.
