I don't pretend to know a lot about how this computer stuff works but in my case my yahoo id is the name I use to sign in to my yahoo email account each time. It goes in the box just above the box where I put my password when I sign in.
My yahoo email address is my id + @yahoo.com. It is what others need to send email to me.

there is no difference between id and email address
if u have yahoo usser id and paaword u can log into the mail also

Your Yahoo ID is just the name you go by, without the @yahoo.com part.

Thats kinda dumb to ask, why would you want people you don't know to have your e-mail addy?
The id is so people you know online that u don't want to have your addy can only reach you if your online and thats all!

If I am not wrong, let's say my e-mail address in yahoo is
abc@yahoo.com
So, my yahoo id is : abc
