They can not fire you as you are legally protected. If your company does fire you then you can see a lawyer and you would not need that job anymore.

Just go ahead with the planning. Act as if nothing happen so long you think you can keep a good record during your pregnancy. Once you tummy is visble enough and your superior got noticed and start telling you off etc, just tell him it's not stated in your employment terms or MOM regulations that woman should not get pregnant nor they got sack during employment. Just standby some witnesses. If you really got fired, go to MOM straight and file a complain.

They can not fire you because you want to have a child. And by the way the person who said choose either a career or child is completely wrong. I have a three year old daughter and a baby due in Feb. My daughter stays with my mom and stepdad and is well taken care of. The baby will also stay with them after it is born and I go back to work.

It's good to have a family planning. Your employer have no right to fired you for getting pregnant. You can go to Ministry Of Mampower (MOM) to complain against your employer if they fire you just because you are pregnant.
Talk with you spouse on this issue. I have know a lot of ladies quit their job after giving birth just to take care of their children. So I think that main issue is that if your spouse support your decision

If you're planning on having kids, you shouldn't be working anyway. I know a lot of women do both, but their kids suffer for it. Pick, either career or kids.
