Because your chance of winning is 1 in a millionth ...
And it causes people with limited budget to spend whatever's left to buy lottery ticket. Then after they win the lottery, they don't become rich anyway because they'll spend the money for useless stuff.
Research shows that 8 out of 10 lottery winner couldn't retain their winning, they don't have the right attitude on money anyway.

From a scientific and mathematic approach, the lottery is bad because the odds of winning are so high.
However, the intangible that playing the lottery offers - hope and the fantasy of winning - is more than worth the cost ofthe weekly ticket, and generally is cheaper than anything else that can keep you occupied in that manner.

lottery is basically more or less like gambling... i think too much of this lottery business is not good.. u may lose out on a lot and probabily regret for it later... winning in this is just mere luck and nothing else.

It's okay if you're buying a ticket once in a while, but there are people who get addicted to it, and buy like 20 a week. Then it's a waste of money.
