Depends on the mental condition while viewing. For one who is newly in love, rainbow consists of 14 colors. For those who have been ditched, rainbow does not exist. For those married for over a decade, there is no time to see rainbow. Technically there is an infinite number of colors as they merge between the 'pure' colors. For simplicity, we break it down to ROY G BIV. RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE, INDIGO, VIOLET are the commonly 'defined' colors.
