People always hope for better. I remind myself everyday that even though I don't have everything that I might have wanted, I am damn lucky to have all I've got.

The grass is always greener on the other side. This is a very important lesson for people in life. It may be a cliche to say, 'you were taking it for granted', but this gives you the oppurtunity to appreciate what you do have, and to practice letting go. Since letting go is one of the most important things we have to learn in life, its a great lesson. Nothing lasts forever. We must learn to let go of everything in order to be truly happy. And if you get it back, will you truly be happy, or just go through the same thing over and over until you learn your lesson?

Adam and Eve lived in paradise until they could no longer resist the temptation to taste the only fruit that was forbidden to them. They lost the Garden of Eden. They never got it back. Human nature since the beginning.

We not conscious that they are conscious.
A good example of this are mannerisms. You are not aware that you are doing it unless one makes you aware of it.
Like what we have, we have this natural ability not to be conscious that they are conscious of an existence of an important person or thing. We only become aware of it when it gets lost or left us. It is when we reflect and mirror our consciousness.
Getting it back is never easy yet like the saying goes, If there's a will, there's a way.

God creates circumstances and intervenes when he sees we are not good stewards of what he entrusted us with. Like a good love.. sometimes we put to much trust on it that it will be forever.. and we become less responsive to the needs of our partner.. And we can only see that we are wrong when we are confronted with the fact that it has done our partner wrong.. and he left..

Because hindsight is the only exact science. Sometimes it's hard to appreciate how much something means to you till its not there anymore. I briefly lost all sense of smell, which is quite distressing but really appreciated it when I got it back, even though it's not as good as it was.

When you've got it, you're called a pessimist for imagining life without it. Once it's gone, you're accused of taking it for granted. You can't win!
