I used to be a patriotic American until I realized it was thinly-veiled nationalism. Now I'm just an individual. I like America, but I hate its government.

I like being American because there is a lot of diversity and you can experience many cultures here. There is a lot of natural beauty great places to see and fun things to do. Also you can make a living wage here even if you were poor to start.
Sometimes I don't like being American because its a little embarrasing and I think people of the world must think we're so stupid sometimes. Also there is a lot of crime and violence and I'm afraid to go out of my house at night. I take the good with the bad.

Of course I do. This country is the best country in the world. I'm proud to be an American. I know that America was founded by smart and God-inspired men. I believe the constitution is an inspired document.
I believe that as long as this country remains founded on and directed by moral principles it is the best country in the world.
George Washington once said: "Let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion."

I have always like being an American. I just don't like our president and am ashamed at what he has made us look like now. I could go on and on but I've done that before already.

There are alot of wonderful places in this world. We do have alot of privilages that many other places don't. I think there is alot of fixing to do here. For one, I think our "leader" is way off and I don't respect him at all. I've been to a communist country and we do have many more opportunities. I like to think globally. It doesn't matter what you are or where you're from~ what matters is that you're a good person.
