Winston Churchill. Stood up for this country better than any other leader in a long time. But like any one in this country , when he had given his best was kicked out on his as at the first chance.
How Tony stay in powers then amazes me. Maybe he has learnt a few other tricks from George.

Oliver Cromwell!! The others are kings and queens, they didn't do much for the country other than kill people if they were the opposite religion especially during the Tudors- Henry VIII and Elizabeth 1 there was a big mass of religion change like the Roman Catholic religion versus the Protestant. King Henry so far was the worst because he married 8 TIMES had three children who did just the same as him and he beheaded about 2 or 3 of his wives.
For all I know is that Oliver Cromwell was probably very tolerant in his times as he campaigned for everyone to be able to choose the religion they wish to follow. he and Charles 1 had a civil war against each other due to the conflicting issues which resulted in Charles 1 getting beheaded. From those times they royal family are not allowed to be involved in the parliament which does avoid the issue of dictatorship.
As for Churchill, he had alot of enemies in this country at the time of being prime minister during 2nd world war like Tony Blair has.

Winston Churchill, because he was a great leader, he would be my sensible choice.
I'd love Elizabeth back though - she was such a character!! I wonder what the world would be like today with her as our leader!!???

Henry the Viii, He disbanded the Church, made divorce and re-marriage Legal and built a huge and really strong navy.
Thats the Kind of King we need right now.
