clean them 2 times a day and turn the earing in the hole, so that the skin doesn't adhere to the posts.

Here's some info I found on a kids website:

Taking Care of Your Ears
When you first get your ears pierced, you should leave the earrings in until your ears are completely healed. This usually takes about 4 to 6 weeks. If you don't, your holes could close up and you'll have to go through everything all over again!

You don't want germs with your newly pierced ears, so it's very important to keep your ears clean. For several days after the piercing, you or a parent will need to clean your ears and put antibiotic ointment on them. Whoever is doing the cleaning should follow these steps twice a day:

Wash your hands.
Use a cotton ball or swab to apply rubbing alcohol to the earlobe or lobes.
Gently rotate the earring in the ear.
After your ears have healed, it's a good idea to remove your earrings every night before you go to sleep. When you remove your first earrings, clean them - and any other earrings you'll be wearing - in rubbing alcohol. And if an earring ever gets stuck in your ear, seek help from a grown-up.

What if Your Ears Get Infected?
If you think one of your pierced ears may be infected, tell your mom or dad. An infected earlobe may be swollen, red, warm, and painful, and it may ooze a thick, yellow-white fluid called pus.

It's fairly common for pierced ears to get infected, but don't wait for it to get better by itself because the infection may spread and make you sick. Here are signs you need to tell your mom or dad about:

Your earring gets stuck in your ear.
The swelling or redness spreads beyond the hole.
You get a fever.
Your mom or dad will probably want to call the doctor for advice on how to treat the infection. The doctor will probably suggest a routine of cleaning the ear and putting antibacterial ointment on it.

You'll need to have a parent check in with the doctor again if the infection doesn't start going away after 2 days. But if you take care of the infection, it probably will go away completely in 1 to 2 weeks. Then you can start enjoying your pierced ears again!

I have my ears double pierced. When the people pierce your ears they should give you an anticeptic. It's this bottle of liquid with an antibacterial stuff in it. You can get a cottonball and dab your ears with it, this will get rid of germs so that you won't get an infection. If you didn't get the anticeptic bottle, you can go to the place where you got your ears pierced and get one. Make sure that you dab your ears everytime you go out of the shower and at least once every day until 4-6 weeks are over and you can take your earrings out.

Peroxide, peroxide, peroxide or alcohol...I can't stress this enough. If you don't keep the hole clean you will grow keloids on your ears. Make sure you have gold post earrings in your ears. Pour the peroxide directly on the hole. Use the peroxide on your ears several times a day for the 1st week and two times a day for the 2nd week. Also, turn the post in your ear if you have stud earrings. If you have hoops, slide them back and forth in your ear occassionally.

Wear sleepers of an inert metal (gold preferably), keep rotating them (turn them around in the ear) so the skin doesnt heal on them, clean with a gentle alcohol solution, go buy that at boots.

Clean them twice a day with alcohol to get the blood off and so your ear won't get infected. After cleaning them turn them frequently so the dried blood doesn't stick to the earing.

When I got my ears pierced again, I was advised by the beautician to use a saline solution (cooled boiled water with salt added)

They normally will give you a solution to clean it with, just put a few drops on every day. If they don't, just use soap and water. Don't let hair get caught on the back, don't take them out. For 1-2 Months. If they're on the bottom, if its one on the top, leave them in for 3 months.

Do not use too many chemicals to which you might have a reaction and try to keep soap and shampoo away from them. I f you are a total herbazoid (herb and nature person), you might want to try dabbing on some warm coconut oil and turmeric or you can apply some Bethadine and antisceptic cream like soframycin.
