i wish sven had been a little more bold and played rooney in behind crouch.
he was banging them in left right and centre in the lead up then he goes and puts owen and rooney on. would it have worked? im not sure.
crouch earned his chance then was snubbed by sven. bad swede.
i dont think crouchy deserves the flack he has got.
owen has been going through a lean goalscoring spell and noone has been all that critical of him.

Not enough people ... yet. The giant stick-insect image can't be doing much for his self-confidence. He should start a body-building regime, to balance that height with some width and bulk. When he begins to look more balanced, the new-found confidence and self-esteem will flow into his footballing skills. Then we'll all love him. And he can find a better girlfriend.
Personally speaking, the first time I saw him play I felt he was most unattractive; lanky and ungainly physically and very dependant on Beckham's approval, mentally. Then I watched an interview with him. He was not in uniform, and the camera focussed on his face. His manner of speaking really impressed me; he seemed so softly spoken; gentle and articulate. That was surprise number 1. Then I noticed the amazing structure of his face; the beautiful planes and angles there. It was a relaxed face; not especially good-looking, but with a very powerful and unique beauty. I am not a sculptor, but if I were, I would definately immortalize Peter Crouch's face in marble.
That was surprise number 2.
The head is really aesthetically perfect!
So? Does that mean I love him? Yeah. Maybe I do! (And I'm NOT his mum!)

I'm from italy and me and my friends in Bologna are great Peter Crouch fans! After he did the robodance we start loving this man!
We want him in Bologna Football Club, we want to see the Robot live!
