I have a Cablevison High Def DVR. The software is terrible. Why does TIVO only offer High Def for Direct TV. When will it be available for cable? I can't wait too much longer.

I have the HD Cablevision DVR. I Love it. I had TiVo originally but I didn't like the set up. Basically TiVo sends a command to your cable box to turn on the box, and than it hits record. If the Ir eyes that come with it are not pointed at the box good enough they won't turn on your cable box. Also I constantly had problems with the phone line that it uses to download the tv guide. With Cablevision all of that is done automatically. I just wish I had more space on mine! I would think twice before getting TiVo especially if you don't even like the Cablevision DVR.
