oh 90's music TOTALLY!! it had some bad ones alright, but smashing pumpkins, pearl jam, Live, soundgarden? marvellous. very little these days comes close to it. i think record companies managed to formulise the rock look a lot and are completely cashing in. i can't stand all that whingy shite these days.

Now I'm a hip hop and r&b head, so I like the stuff from the 90's. The reason is that it just make you want to dance for a reason or stand up for what you believe in(for an example: Public E. "fight the power" in the early 90's) Plus the artist back then talk about their real problems in a cool way like all of Mary J.Blige songs in the 90's talks about her life. Now in the 00's-06's everybody seem fake because they can pay somebody to write their songs or its about flashin' your s@#t around.

The music from the 90's is the best! I listen to a lot of different types of music and I think that whether it was R & B, Hip Hop, or Rock, they were all better then than they are now. Groups/Singers like Total, SWV, Mase, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana were hot back then.

I like both actually , a few months ago i would of said the 90s but now there are a few songs that are out that are pretty good , such as the song the kill by the band 30 seconds to mars , and the song from the band angels and airwaves the adventure , but i guess it all depends on what type of music you like.

I love the 90's music. I still know all the words to most of the songs. It makes me so happy when our local radio station has a "Rip it up Weekend" as they call it, and plays all 90's songs.

90s man...there wasn't so much drama and people made their own music and it was damn good. They still play it today, and some of those bands are still my faves and thankfully still making music and touring.
I listen to a lot of today's music too, but a LOT of it sounds the same so I am most loyal to the 90s

i like the 90s music too, but i thik that the newer music that's coming up is better because people are discovering newer sounds, mixing contemporary and traditional music, mixing the new and the old, and you can hear of new styles of music almost every week. i think the originality lies in the ideas of the composers.

no matter what era you prefer, finding decent music requires a little digging. there was a brief period in the early 90's when decent music was played on the radio but even that quickly turned into homogenized garbage.
