I think he does too. He's done the best he can with all this stuff going around about him, and I think things would be MUCH worse if Gore was in office when 9-11 struck. I hate when people say that everything is George Bush's fault, he does his best, and I would like to see them in the situation he is. Its not his fault that he was born to a somewhat wealthy family, he knows what he's doing. You can't blame gas prices on him, its the dwindling supplies of oil. The media is trying to get you to believe that he's not a good person, because the media is mainly full of democrats, who will do anything to make bush look bad.
He did tax cuts, which people complained about since we're in war, but now that he's raising taxes FOR US TO SUPPORT OUR TROOPS its even worse. Think there's no reason for us to be in Iraq? Well we couldn't have just sat here and said everything was okay after they attacked our country and caused many Americans to die. If we did, we would be weak, and a target for more attacks to come. Everything he does is logical.

Aside from his policies, a lot of people who like him like him because he is very straight talking. I have supported some of his policies, partly because of some of his advisors, partly because of 9/11, partly because of what I have learned about world history. But bottom line, I do not think he is a great man or a great leader, as Churchill was (for example). Bush is an average man who is running the most powerful country in the world at a crucial moment in its history -- so some greatness will come to him merely because of the turn of world events.

Sadly, I think he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, and for all his plain spoken demeanour, the truth is he is living testament that there is a stratum in society that is given more chances, has more doors opened for its members automatically, sees more of the world. This is not to say that a meritocracy does not exist and that people of ability cannot get ahead. But you don't think George Bush got into Yale and Harvard with sheer brain power do you? Imagine all the brilliant or at least very bright and talented people who had ultimately to make way so that the George Bushes of the world could move in select circles. All that said, the system of the establishment is not his fault, and he has perhaps tried to compensate for his privileged background in his political manner (if not some policies -- the hurricane in New Orleans showed an unfortunate side in this respect), whereas someone like Churchill certainly did not nor ever would have.

for all the "GEORGE BUSH HATERS' out there, sorry about your luck, but I also thinks he rocks and I just loved it yesterday when I heard him on the early morning news saying, and I quote him,"We need to put a stop to this s--t!" enquote.

I wouldn't say he rocks, but he's doing the best he can.
I really haven't seen very many coherent answers to the "not" side of this question, though. Fahrenheit 9/11? Utter crap. 59 inaccuracies means he did good research? OMG.

I do , and I think it's great you dare to stand up for that. Americans shouldn't sing any american songs or say : We stand until they support the leader of their country!

Go Bush!!
