I was always more interested in defense, because I like the sound of crunching plastic, and I like that you got to shutdown someone else's game plan.
Since it sounds like you're kind of lanky, I think you could probably play a mix of outside linebacker and defensive end. Being long helps you to keep separation and swim through lineman. If you are an average runner, you are going to be quicker than most linemen.
You can always add bulk and muscle with diet and exercise. I'm guessing your in eighth grade, I think you'll probably grow 3-4 inches, and gain 50-60 lbs by the time your a senior. Right now you're too small to play varsity end or backer, but the guys you'll be playing against will be smaller too. Every bit of muscle you add in the weight room will make faster and stronger, and since your starting out pretty lean, you won't have a lot of fat slowing you down.
Good luck with football.

Since you're only 13 and you are so tall, I would say either wide receiver or tight end. Tight end would work especially well if you are an average runner. They want fast guys at wideout. Pack on some muscle and you would be a good TE. Quarterback would not be bad either if you have a good arm. I wouldn't try for any kind of defensive back position unless you are faster.

Linebacker or End on Defense. Pick up your speed a little and get some good hands, you probably could make a good tight end. If you are 5'11" at 13, You should grow to 6'5" or so, and put on some more muscle to about 220 by the time you are 18. Perfect tight end material if you work on your speed. Run a lot of sprints.

What do you like to do ?
Average runner means very little...you could be in a school where everyone runs an average 4.4 - 40 ... or an 8.5 - 40.
You'd make a good quarterback if you can throw the ball.
Defensive end if you are agile.
Defensive Tackle if you're strong.
Offensive lineman if you can explode off the ball.

Bulk up a little and then play TE because you can always go from TE to the Line or from TE to FB or From TE to WR so you get a lot of action.

WHEN I WAS 13 I WAS A COUPLE INCHES BIGGER THAN YOU AND ABOUT 20 LBS HEAVIER, AND I WAS WAY BIGGER THAN ANYONE ELSE MY AGE. I THINK YOU SHOULD PLAY O OR D LINE. YOU WILL GROW A LITTLE MORE AND GAIN WEIGHT. HIT THE WEIGHT ROOM AND KEEP IN SHAPE, YOU'LL BE GOOD TO GO. STAY OFF THE FREAKIN JUICE!!!!
