yes he did...infact toooooooo early...bst off spinner world has ever sen....i rate him above murali coz saqqi had a fair action unlike murali...he invented the floater...which is now known as doosra...he has the best average and strike rate....despite being a spinner....he wass the first one to have the courage to bowl at the death ends of the ODI games....he was certainly a gem of a player...had he ben here 2day...he would certainly have taken almost 500 wkts....saqqi rocks!!

Yes I also got the same type of anguish when he left cricket at such a small age. He is one of the best bowlers of spin in his days. I think he took 2 hat tricks also. Taking 2 hat-tricks in ODI's is not a simple thing. That too he got one in world cup 1999 and I admire it.

At the age of 24 only he got 250 odd wickets in ODI's and I thought that he can not only get to 600 or 700 wickets in tests but also he can break the record of Wasim Akram of taking most wickets in ODI's.

Really it is very much sad that he left cricket. His doosra is very tempting that the batsman goes for the shot and get out. It is a great view of seeing Saqlain taking wickets.

I think he would have become a great bowler if he would have played till date even.

Yes I thought that Saqlain Mushtaq was a world class spinner, but always wondered why he is no longer in the team. What happened to him
