My "kids" are in their 30s so I'm not very familiar with safe websites for children so forgive my lack of knowledge on this subject.

However, I found a nifty resource for parents that's not only free, but it will screen out all the bad stuff your children will come across while using the Internet.

You as the "administrator" of the program will be able to pick and choose the categories (and sites) they can and can't view PLUS it's password protected so only you can change the options as they grow older.

In the event I have children visit my house and they want to use the computer, I know they can freely surf the net and not have to view porn and other unsavory subjects they shouldn't be subjected to. I've used this program for months and many a time it's prevented "bad" websites from popping up that I may have clicked on in error.

Here's the link for the website where you can download the program. As I mentioned it's free and it doesn't contain spy ware or viruses either.

It's one of the best programs I've ever used and I'm sure you'll agree, too!
