Hi. Could you please tell me why does U.S back Israel? I mean does Israel have any benefits for U.S? And why do U.S and some other countries defend the existence of holocaust and why there is so much argument on this subject? Why some people is jailed because of denying holocaust? Why does U.S accuse Iran’s president of denying holocaust? I mean is this a crime and does it harm the world? If not then what is the reason? I do not understand it. I think it is an invaluable subject because it does not help any one to have a better life. It just causes unrest.

Six million people died, at least. And I have proof, because I'm the grandaughter of a survior. To deny such an act is to allow it to happen again. To deny the Holocaust excuses the evil men that allowed it to occur

The US backs Israel because the US was the only nation with the courage, the might and the morality to try to fix the wrongs of the Holocaust. Because Americans wish to actually make the world a better place for all, they support Israel.

What country (besides America, if then even.. ahem Bill Clinton) ever speaks out against genocide? Rwanda? Dafur? Only Israel consistantly reminds the world that geneocide continues.

Anti-semetism has continued for years.. and you perpetuate it. By not excusing it, the US attempts to prevent more Jews and other ethnic groups from being murdered again.

We back Israel for a multitude of reasons, but the easiest one for someone like you to understand is we have a common enemy.

Germany is the only country that I know of where it is a jailable offense to deny the holocaust. And I don't believe that the US policy towards Iran is because their leader denies the holocaust, more so because he wants to create a new one.

I hear all you lib's talking about how, all current US policy has done is cause unrest, like their was no unrest before Iraq. Can you not remember 9/11? I will take action in the Middle East that causes your 'unrest' versus the head in the sand (or cigars in the Oral office) type approach that causes events like 9/11.

The historian David Irving was recently imprisoned in Austria for denying the holocaust. Touchy subject, huh?

I understand that 20million Russians died in WW2, millions of Poles were also killed by the Nazi's, but you don't hear them continually going on about it and demanding that people feel sorry for them. Nor do the Japanese continually dredge up the spectre's of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. War is hell, awful things happen, yet these people have gotten over it.

I think there should be a statute of limitations or something about the holocaust. I wish they would stop droning on about it. Okay, it happened, it was terrible, no-one disputes that. Now get over it. It's as though 6 million jewish lives are worth more than 6 million non-jewish lives. I do not suscribe to that view.

The Jews consider themselves to be God's chosen people. That's a pretty arrogant worldview. I've visited Dachau, it was terrible. But thinking of your race as being superior...I can't get with that, either.

Hey Kelly (below)

He was jailed for denial of the holocaust. So this would be breaking the law, no? Why do you think Irving was banned from Austria? Denial of the Holocaust. So why was he imprisoned?etc etc

People don't get jailed for not breaking the law! (unless they're in Guantanamo Bay, but that's another matter)

Big E-was he jailed for denial of the Holocaust , or did he break the law? He was barred from entering Austria. Pardon my copy & paste, but I lifted this from Wikipedia:

" Irving knew that he was banned from Austria, in the words of his partner, Bente Hogh: "He was not jailed just for his views but because he's banned from Austria and still went. David doesn't take advice from anyone. He thought it was a bit of fun, to provoke a little bit."[17]"

The article goes on to state that even Irving later admitted that he denied the holocaust until he stumbled onto Adolf Eichmann's personal files with details. His quote was:
" "I said that then based on my knowledge at the time, but by 1991 when I came across the Eichmann papers, I wasn't saying that anymore and I wouldn't say that now," Irving told the court. "The Nazis did murder millions of Jews", "I am absolutely without doubt that the Holocaust took place."

Of course, he later recanted that statement, saying that Nazis were so incredibly efficient at killing Jews, why did somany survive.

So if you are going to make statements, make sure they are historically correct.

We accuse Irans little monkey boy leader if denying Holocaust because he did. Blatently.

I know the Holocaust happened because it's very well documented. Also because I spent a great deal of my childhood with my grandparents who saw it first hand as officers in the Army in WW II My grandfather was in military intelligence and he saw alot, my granny was an army nurse. They were among the first troops into Buchenwald and they took photos and film footage.

We support Israel because they are the only "free" and stable government in the Middle East who are our allies. Also because they are in the right.

Annihilation is the fear of everybody like the one that happened to the holocaust. Jews were the targets of mass killings at that time. Jews were percieved to be a supreme race, so other people wanted them erased from this world. The United States support Israel because the early Americans were mostly Europeans like the British and Irish people who have Jewish roots. It is because blood is thicker than water, so US supports Israel.

the U.S. backs Israel because of the past between them. The things that most people forgot. I do not have a list of these things, however I do know that our govornmental system feels that they owe Israel something.

With so much documentation of it(plug "the holocaust" into google and see what you get)Argument about it? LMAO!!! If you think it didn't happen then here's another "fact" for you. Did you know that the word gullible isn't in the dictionary ?

I think you are right. You can't say anything against holocaust, because it was really horrible. But in the other way we are happy if one nation is attackted and innocent people are hurt. And we also support Israeli when killing innocent people and destroy the country.

I agree with you Big E.
