When I was 16, I reached 5 foot 5, I hoped I'd grow at least another inch and thought that having a mother who was tall that I stood a chance of this. My mother was 5 foot 8, Dad was 5 foot 9. I suppose I could say the key to whether I was going to grow any more lay in two other factors;-

1) my parents build, and although they were both tallish, they were both of stocky build. Mother always looked slim but this was down to knowing how to dress.

2) The 2nd factor lies in health. I am an asthmatic, asthmatics rarely reach very tall heights for the simple reason that sleeping is an issue for asthmatics and indeed for a load of other conditions.

A healthy diet may help you, but the most important aid to growth is sleep, good quality restful sleep. In a room that has plenty of air circulating in it, no clutter to load up with dust, hypo-allergenic bedding and preferably no carpets.

You may or may not grow any taller 5 foot 5 is a moderate height to reach, you are not small or tall. The important thing here is to be happy healthy and content with who you are and what you will become.

Good luck.

Nothing is going to "make" you grow any taller. Eating healthy should be a way of life, not just a method to grow. You still have till you're 18 to finish growing, but usually maximum height is reached by age 16 for either sex.. male or female.

Don't be taken in by the "easy"/"glib" answers. It's much more complicated than that. I suggest you do your own research as it sounds to me like you are worried about being a midget.

I think you have cause for concern. As an expert in this field - with a PHD I bought from the same school as Paul McKenna - I really know what'm talking about.

Seriously, have you tried a "rack". You should be able to get the new "electric" ones from RadioShack. They can really add a few inches.

At that height - I would seriously be worried about your future as the only job I can think of for you is in a circus. Have you thought about growing a beard? I hear that can make you look taller.

I think girls stop growing at about 21, boys stop growing at about 22-25, so theres nothing to worry about.

i'm sure you'll be at your ideal height by the time you "stop growing". there is no certain age for females or males to stop growing. every body is different. however, you are getting closed to the estimated age range.
