your not the only ones, here in australia we have 25,000 that are wanting to do the same,.most of them live permanently there but because they have dual citizenship they now decide that they are australians again,"how convenient"

The government cannot let US citizens that want to leave, sit and rot. Sure it was their choice to go there, but at the time it wasn't high on the danger list. Due to events beyond their control they have no other methods of leaving.

Here is a thought, either via an attack on the ferry coming to get some US citizens or an attack on those remaining behind, what do you think are the chances of the US getting directly involved in this conflict.

Ha ha....I was thinking the same thing. Basically if they're American citizens you've got an obligation to protect them from harm. If it were you - would you like to be saved????

The really ironic thing is that the Americans are funding the bombs being dropped by Israel on American citizens in Lebanon. Then the Amercians have to pay to remove thier citizens from the American bombs falling on them!!!!

Go figure THAT one out!

I tell you what, lets send you to place where there is a lot of bombing and leave you there and then have gov't tell you sorry but we can't get you out.

rich or poor, no matter what color or status they are Americans. I believe they should be rescued, and as fast as possible.
