Get one of the pregnancy books that guides you through the different stages of your pregnancy... what you should be doing/eating/feeling at that stage etc.
If you smoke or drink.. try to stop or at least cut down to minimal intake.
Make sure to eat healthy... lots of fruit and vegetables and make sure you're getting the right amount of nutrients necessary from the food you're eating =o)
Do light excersize to stay fit during your pregnancy... walking etc You'll be able to find special excersize tapes or suggestions for pregnant women.. try googling it.

As long as you avoid alcohol, prawns, soft cheese, nuts, pate, only eat small amounts of tuna then enjoy being pregnant and eat what you fancy. Cut back on caffeine (you can still have some though limit it too 3 a day)stop smoking.Try to incorporate some fresh veg and fruit in your diet though as well and take folic acid supplements, oily fish 3 times a week is meant to make your baby more intelligent and they say chocolate is good for pregnant women too. Look after yourself, drink lots of water, get plenty of rest. Gentle exercise is a good idea Swimming is a brilliant for you as it takes pressure off your joints, check out your local pool as they may do antenatal aerobics, take gentle walks. Avoid lifting anything too heavy or getting stressed, a happy mum means a happy baby. Your midwife will advise you as your pregnancy progresses. Most of all try to enjoy this time and let people spoil you!! good luck xxx

The best thing is to have a balanced diet. Try to eat let crap and eat more fruit but not too much as you will have too much of the same vitamin. Its always good to get a good supply of folic acid (available from dr's), also look for products that have Omega 3 in it. These help to develop your unborn baby's brain. Jus try to keep a good diet and do some exercise but make sure its not too strenuous, i.e power walking and relaxed walking pace(alternate the two. 20 mins on one and 10 on the other for about an hourish). DO NOT EAT NUTS. This is just in case your baby has an allergy to it. Try not to drink fizzy pop, tea or coffee. Try to stick to just water, fruit juice or dilute pop. If you buy fruit juice, DONT GET IT IF ITS FROM CONCENTRATE as this is BAD for your baby. No alcohol or smoking or drugs. Keep salt and sugar to a minimum as again this is bad for baby. Rosemary is also a no-no. If you should feel unsure about anything just speak to your dr and also if you buy a nutrition guide that would also help you to be more aware of things to look for and things to avoid.

Make sure to take your prenatal vitamins every day (these are different than regular vitamins). Stop smoking if you smoke, and don't drink alcohol or caffeine. ( a little bit of alcohol or caffeine won't hurt the baby most likely, but for me it was easier to just cut out those things completely).
Eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies and limit the amount of fat that you take in.
You will have to see what you food cravings and/or aversions are. I couldn't even look at chicken while I was pregnant.. lol. Try to eat, even if you feel a little nauseous.... sometimes it will help settle your stomach.
Drink lots of water every day and rest as much as you can. Remember - you are growing another person inside of you. That takes a lot of energy!
Also - make sure you see your healthcare provider regularly so that they can moniter your health and the health of your baby.

With so many answers covering all the healthy food aspects and the don't foods (like shellfish, pate, unpasteurised cheeses), I'll not go over these again. Alongside a healthy diet which is first and foremost, get yourself some excellent supplements to boost your diet. These are not an excuse to be lazy with food, just an extra insurance as many special nutrients are difficult to get in large quantities. Example, the growing baby needs folic acid in the early months (prevents risk of spina bifida) and your baby will also rob you of iron as it grows. Healthy diet alongside a supplement programme will see you do great. I was recommended by a professional dietitian Jarrow Pregnatal with DHA (these are the fish oils, good for baby's brain + eye development). This complex programme will see you through to lactating afterwards. Drinking plenty of water is a good idea as often a food craving is in fact just thirst. This is good for limiting pregnancy weight gain (baby related weight gain good, excess body fat not). The less weight gained, the easier to get back in shape after. Other great things to do in pregnancy for over all wellbeing is to look after your body and skin as the pregnancy can make you really tired, so be good to yourself. Oiling the bust, abdomen and thighs morning & night will ward off nasty stretch marks. Be relaxed, be happy, eat well, all should go great. Good luck for a healthy and happy pregnancy

It depends what kind of person you are. Are you weight conscious or not. Eat healthy foods like fruit and vegetables, yoghurts etc. but stay away from those fatty foods. Eating them now and then is okay I guess but not all the time. Take regular walks and don't stretch too much. Just take it easy and don't overdo it. Congrats!

No alcohol, no cigarettes, no pate, no raw fish, no raw eggs and I think they also say no nuts now (although I ate them and both of my children are fine - but then I also drank alcohol as well ... ). Plenty of fresh fruit and veg. Plenty of milk and dairy products. Basically just be sensible. Go with your cravings (I ate oranges and tomatoes for the first time in my life!) and ENJOY!!!

DONT eat nuts! Do not! Simply because alot of people are allergic to them. Alot of fruit and fibre, salads, meat, drink alot of milk to help your babies bone grow stronger. Also, have your comfort food, babies like chocolate :)
