It's the law to have them on there. People who work in cigarette factories certainly have no morals.

Ok, if you're the boss of a tabacco company, you definitely would want to make money right?!

If the fellas working at the company had a choice, they would not bother to put warnings as it'll increase cost. The need for warnings are imposed by the governments in the respective countries. I personally think that it's just to show the non smokers that the goverment cares for the health of the citizens. Just a show. If you were a chronic smoker and have been smoking for many years, stopping is most times not an option. That shoudl answer why people still buy!

Drinking also kills, so does eating too much fast food, to muck salt in the diet, obesity, anorexia and a lot of other things that people do. Some people apparently enjoy cigarettes even through the fact that it may someday kill them in a most grotesque of ways. As set by law the tobacco companies must warn their costumers of the dangers of smoking due to the fact that smoking related deaths are still among the highest in the country, so i guess they know that people are going to smoke no matter what the box has written on it, but maybe the person who is thinking about smoking might change his or her mind once he or she notices the big black letters "SMOKING KILLS."

The company puts "smoking kills" on the pack because the law says they must and people still buy them because they are addicted and its a bit like why people do extreme sports, they know the dangerers but like the thrill of trying to beat the odds !
Not every smoker dies from smoking related illness !
Some get run over going to the shop to buy the cigarettes !!!

Because by LAW, they HAVE to print it on the packets to make people aware that the product they are producing can kill them!!There are many items on the market with a potential to kill, which contain Carcinogenic substances, all of which have a warning on the packet/box/bottle! People buy, because tobacco is so addictive! The craving is horrendous! Its a nasty habit,we all know that, the thing to do is NOT start in the first place, resist any peer pressure, its NOT cool to smoke! Don't become an idiot like me!!!

this is the feeble legal loophole,
that governments give the tobacco industry ,
Put SMOKING KILLS on your packets and you can sell
to all who want to buy !!!

And thank you so much!!! we will take a bit more,
from them in tobacco TAX,
; thus filling our own coffers as well ,

The hypocrisy is blatant
Cigarette smoking can and does KILL,

If i sound angry and cynical, it is because i am ,
Tobacco is a major health hazard .

It is also addictive ,
so very hard to give up cigarettes , once you start.smoking them .

People have a right to kill themselves, some are happier when they are given the choice to.

There's a lot of unhealthy foods that do the same kind of damage that cigarettes do. Would you want someone telling you they won't sell you a cheesburger because their morals won't let them? Let people choose for themselves if they want to die or not, no one is forcing them to smoke. If it makes them happy but kills them 20 years earlier than they should have died so be it, thats their choice and we are all "free" adults to make that decision for ourselves.

Its simply business; and unless the notices are included the cigarettes cannot be sold. As for the smokers, sadly they are addicted so there is virtually no message that would stop them buying. Sad though isn't it.

It's the law. At the end of the day people make their own informed decisions and are responsible for their own health. They know smoking kills, guess they don't think it'll kill them.

It is to do with the fact that if they put a warning on it then nobody can sue them saying that they didnt know it would cause cancer etc. People are so thick now a days. You have people suing macdonalds as they say they didnt know that burgers and frys could make you fat or burning themselves on coffee and sueing as they say they didnt know it was hot?????
