It depends upon the type of scar.
I would suggest you went and saw a dermatologist and asked them what was best for your type of scar. They will be able to advise on covering things from acne to a port wine stain - and will have been asked before!

Saw an advert last night on telly for some thing called bio-oil ( I think). Not make -up but claims to reduce scars and stretch marks, around £8.95 from chemists and selected outlets. Hope that's helpful.

Personally I would not bother.
The scar is part of you, and is part of what has made you such a beautiful person today.
If others can not accept that then that is their misfortune not yours.
Be proud of your scar, it is individual to you. No two scars are the same, unlike tattoos.

Get a really good concealer. I use Mary Kay's in the yellow; it really covers and blends well with any shade of foundaton.

Neutrogena blemish cover. Can't remember the exact name I'm afraid but I used it after I had chicken pox (!) and it was fantastic.
