My computer needs to go into the shop, and I want to risk going on one more time to capture my Outlook Express address book to transfer to ANOTHER computer. I did a practice run and got a CSV file in Excel....but what do I do with that once I get to my new computer??? Is there another way in Explore to find the "text file" listing my address contacts? Is this clear? If not, feel free to ask me more questions. thanks in advance for your help!

Outlook Express:
File>Export>Address Book (WAB)
or other address book...

Its that easy.

You may want to try exporting in a few formats.
Its very easy to import any of those formats as well.

That csv file can easily be imported into another email rogram. For instance, I converted my Outlook Express addresses into a csv file and successfully put all the addresses into my Yahoo Mail.

The text file can only be useful if you are ready to manually insert all the addresses into your email program.

Get a WAB format using export form Outlook Express which is as good as a flat file.
