It seems like a violation of your property. I just hope you were not in the jacket. I think your boss might be a little to anxious. It am not sure if it was aimed at you. You would know that for sure. I think it might be more of a temperment thing of the boss. Think about it more and analyze the situation. Remember we were not there. Supervisors can be very intimidating however. Their anger scares me. You are new and I can understand that if they were trying to kill you jacket like an animal it might have looked really violent. Perhaps you need to bring a tranquizer gun to work if you are working with wild animals. Or some sort of blow dart thing so you can subdue wild creatures at a distance. Sorry that happened to you. Your boss really needs some major stress management training.

I would say: Excuse me! That's my private property you are mis-handling! You've asked me to 'hold on' to the keys, but you have not told me to keep them with me at all times or to have a record of where they are every minute of the day. If that is the duty you would like me to perform, you only need ask! I do not appreciate being treated like a thief and if this is how I am going to be treated I'd prefer not being responsible for the keys.

O.K., Here is what I'd say to him/her, "Would you like me to shake your jacket like that? That is my personal belonging, and I don't go around checking your or others stuff." You asked me for the keys, and wasn't sure if still had them. We came up here to check. Here I am!
For future, I would suggest a drop box in a disclosed place that way just the employee's that needed them could get them.
Definitely say something to the individual. It isn't cool to search someones belongings without permission. This is grounds for you to go to HR. They could get in some trouble....

Start a daily journal...document,document,document any and all unusual behavior for one. Don't say anything about it. Just give them enough rope to hang themselves. When you have enough documentation of this supervisor's behavior, THEN go to your HR dept and complain. Document that too!!

I wud feel as if they are pin pointing all their fingers at me... and that they dun trust me at all... If i were you, I'd throw the keys back at them and not touch them for eternity... and i think its time for you to move on... not much point staying when no one trusts you anymore.

I'd be creeped out.
i'd probably say something like, "Are you done, abusing my jacket?" and then drop him...
.....like a bad habit.
