It is not highly abnormal at all. There are numerous situations in which men (and women) will engage in homosexual acts without being homosexual themselves. In some situations, it's due to the physical need to release sexual tension in the absence of opposite-sex partners, in other situations, sex is used as a method of establishing dominance (Hah! who say's we're not primates!) or something like that. Prison and military situations are absolute breeding grounds for mock homosexuality; military situations during times of combat will foster the forms of intimacy between members of a platoon or something that are emotionally close to what we'd term sexual relationship. Often such relationships are NOT sexual in nature, but if you're willing to take a bullet for your buddy, you're probably gonna be willing to "give him a hand" so to speak as well.

In some cases, it's just curiosity: to see "what it feels like" so to speak, and the only times that it is truly homosexual (gay or lesbian) is when both parties to the act desire such contact and derive profound satisfaction from it BOTH emotionally and physically.

As I tell many of my straight male friends: "I am a man. I can potentially get my jollies from a car, for crying out loud...that doesn't mean I'll be a Cadillac after I've done it!"

The reality of things are different from what many people would want or claim to want. The reality is that the "line" between gay and straight has more to do with subscription to and idenfitication with the values or one subculture or another. Dr. Alfred Kinsey did a lot of research in the late 1940s and into the 1950s into the sexuality of men and women. He found that the line between gay and straight was actually a bit blurry and that a number of people who identified themselves as straight had actually experimented with homosexuality or continued to dally with it throughout their lives. Kinsey's legacy still lives on through the Kinsey Institute, I've included some information here.

The Kinsey Institute at Indiana University promotes interdisciplinary research and scholarship in the fields of human sexuality, gender, and reproduction. The Institute was founded in 1947, just before the publication of Sexual Behavior in the Human Male in1948. Today the Institute investigates sexual behavior and sexual health today, and carries out its mission through: ....

If like having a big rig go up your Hershey highway, then it's normal.

You asked if there's a difference between having sex with a man or a woman? It sounds like you better study anatomy first before having sex.

I don't think its abnormal for you to engage in any sexual activities so long as no one gets hurt. You will be a lot happier when you accept it as a part of yourself, and quit trying to psychoanalyze yourself. It is an inherent part of your makeup, though not every body's makeup. There will be people who will call you sick and twisted, but that's their problem, not yours. Quit looking to others to validate your feelings. They are yours, and are valid feelings. Watch out for those who will ridicule you, and try not to let them get at you emotionally, or mentally. They have no acceptance and would probably like to see those who do not agree with them wiped from the face of the earth. I wish you luck in your lifestyle choice. Peace be with you, from one who does not judge others for their beliefs.
