imagine your child that you have now as a little baby in the womb peacfully sleeping, by now they can recognize your voice, they fall asleep to the sound of your heart beat. they have developed fingers and toes and most likely hair. they are most deffinetely the most innocent thing on the earth. now imagine a big vacuume sucking them out limb from limb killing them slowly... its discusting! why wait 3 or 4 months to call it murder? just because its in your stomach doesnt mean that its not the same sweet thing as when it comes out. abortion is horrible.

let me add one thing... there are certain situations that need to be taken care of in a different way, for instance the fetus is very young and hasnt been able to develope organs or whatever and the mothers life is at risk... but people we need to do whats best for the baby's life. and there is another way, adoption! and some women dont want to ruin their "perfect" bodies by giving birth. and so they take the easy way out and kill an innocent soul at the age of 5,6,7 months old.

I use to think that way, its nice and straight forward.
A Black and White way of looking at the world, but the world is not that simple. If it were, there would be an awful lot more suffering.

Imagine the foetus was sick and/or deformed and would only live a short time after birth, and in terrible pain?

Imagine the mother’s life was in danger due to complications?

Imagine the mother had been raped and had only just found out she was carrying her attackers child.

Imagine... (Fill in the Blank!) there could be a million other scenarios.

I still think Abortions purely for convenience are wrong, but trying to legislate or prove what is a legitimate reason and what isn't would be a nightmare and would probably take longer than the pregnancy.
Our current system (In England) is far from perfect, but I can't think of a better alternative. Can you?

stating your opinion with a "who" in front and a ? at the end doesn't really make it a question. in other words, this isn't a question but a way to get lots of people to tell you they agree with your opinion.

but anyway... a foetus can't live separate from the mother, that is, it isn't viable, until a certain number of weeks (maybe 26, not sure exactly, but you could look it up if you're interested). so, until that point, it isn't really murder, since the thing isn't really a living person.

my opinion is that women shouldn't wait that long to decide whether or not they're going to terminate the pregnancy. you already know if you aren't going to be able to give a child a decent life by week 6, so don't wait until week 26 to have an abortion. the only exceptions are for severe health problems that might come up later, either for the mother or the baby.

Imagine a girl growning up in a conservative Christian family. Because her parents have never tought her about sex and birth control other than "Sex is bad, don't do it," she makes some dumb decisions, has sex, and finds herself pregnant. She knows that if she tells her parents, she will be kicked out of the house. She will be a social pariah in her small, conservative town. She won't be able to finish school. She has no skills to make money from other than prostitution. If her baby is born, it will likley starve. Either way, it will ruin her life.

Abortion should be a woman's choice. If you choose not to do it, that's fine, but no one should take away our right to choose. I do think that, the earlyer you do it (before it grows those fingers and toes you talk about) the better, but anti-abortion people like to talk in absolutes. To them, as soon as sperm hits egg, it's a person.
Untill people start becoming more awayre of birth control and take a responsibility to educate their children about it as soon as their bodies are able to have sex, abortions are going to happen. Even if the big bad government takes away legalized abortions, there will always be some shady guy waiting in a back alley ready to rid some desperate girl of her mistake with a rusty coat hanger. Then both the mother and the child will be lost. That's just the way of the world, people. At least now, with trained doctors and steril conditions, we can preform safe abortions.

We must understand that many people out there haven't done their homework. I used to think that abortion was just removing some tissue . But after doing a lot of research I know it is a human being.
People say it is a part of the women's body and therefore they have a right because it is their body. That is untrue and a lie from the pro choice movement. It is not part of the woman's body. It is separate. If it was part of her body than by definition a pregnant woman with a boy would have 4 hands, 4 feet, 2 heads and a penis.

The same people that think eating an egg is eating “liquid chicken.” If my mom were to kill me today I don’t think it would be murder because she would just be undoing what she did. Luckily, my mom is religious and thinks killing will anger her god, so I have nothing to worry about. (my mom had a miscarriage in ’92 by the way.) It’s kind of like her god gave her an abortion. But then her and dad got busy and gave me a brother in ’95. It’s not that I support abortion or anything, but I just don’t care. When people complain about stuff it just irritates me.
You=complain thus Me=irritated

I believed that abortion is murder even before i have my 2 kids, they are now 2 and 3 years of age. One person posted a link to an abortion site and i watched the video and cried all the way through it. it was horrible! I feel so sorry for those who have miscarriages, who actually want to have kids.

First, the baby grows in your uterus not your stomach.

Second, I consider it murder after a heartbeat has been formed. Before that, I consider it a choice to remove cells that no longer are needed in the body.

i believe that abortion is nothing but cold blooded murder.....though the baby has not stepped into the earth yet on itself but it very well a part of it so killing it is just like killing any other person in this world!!!!!!

you have the right to express your opinion, just as a woman has the right to choose what it best for her unformed foetus.
Its not as simple as that the way you put it, and each situation is unique, i could argue many different things here, but im sure others will provide you with diiferent instances which will possibly make you reconsider what you have just wrote here.

Of course it is murder! But on this planet, it is considered a, (necessary evil)! I don't like it at all, but on the other hand I also believe a woman has the right to choose!
