Are militant Muslims wrong in their beliefs?

Many militant Muslims believe that it's right to force people to submit to Allah's holy law, even if it means using war. Is anyone prepared to say that they are wrong in this particular belief? In other words, is anyone prepared to say that this particular belief is untrue? And how do you know it is untrue/wrong?

Just looking through the first 15 answers: some people seem to think I believe militants are right! I don't! I just want to know why others think they are wrong. People seem to assume that's it just obvious - but not to the militants. No one has answered this part of the question. Second, some people tried to defend Islam, as if to deny that militant interpretations can possibly exist! They do exist, but why are they wrong in what they believe, and how do you know? Third, one person even claimed that if you let them believe what they want there will be peace - but what if we let militants just believe what they want? I am disappointed at everyone's answer and cannot pick a "best answer". People either seem too scared to admit that some religious beliefs are wrong, or if they do, can't really figure out why they believe something is wrong!

Answer no. 6 says because all fanatics are wrong, and yet they still don't say why this is the case, especially in light of the fact that "fanatics" would obviously disagree. This person also seems to be quite fanatical in what he/she believes about fanatics/fundamentalists! Is this person the enemy of religion too?

Allah or God in English has never force human to submit to His holy law... thats why there are still Christians, Hindu and many other religions... Allah gives human choices to belief and act to their own doings with responsibilities. If Allah wants human to submit to His Laws, He does not require militants to help Him, Allah is so great that what He wants is what He wants... Kun Fa Ya Kun... but Allah teaches us to be prepared for all our doings, we will be asked and repay fo all acts now, hereafter (afterlife).

War is only to those whom are extremely over the guidelines as the final resort. Example.. your community is being invaded, aggressions. other people are killing other nations. etc

islam never was and will never be a religion of terrorism, that's what is written in qur'an:

"God does not forbid you from showing kindness and dealing justly with those who have not fought you about religion and have not driven you out of your homes, that you should show them kindness and deal justly with them. God loves just dealers." (Qur'an 60:8)

"Fight in the cause of God against those who fight you, but do not begin aggression. for God loves not aggressors." (Qur'an 2:190)

"If they seek peace, then seek you peace and trust in God for He is the Hearer, the Knower." (Qur'an 8:61)

"… and let not the hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is next to piety; and fear Allah, for Allah is well-acquainted with all that you do." (Qur'an 5:8)

He prohibited Muslim soldiers from killing women, children and the elderly, or cut a palm tree, and he advised them, "… do not betray, do not be excessive, do not kill a newborn child."

"The first cases to be adjudicated between people on the Day of Judgment will be those of bloodshed." Killing is the second major sin in Islam.

The core of ANY religion is Peace.
READ the Bible, The Koran, The teachings of Buda. Or ANY religion. <-(please forgive any misspelling.)
