No, Darwin's theory is not a great blunder. Darwin may have had a couple of minor points incorrect or missing (e.g. he did not know about genetics and DNA, which have since filled in many of these points), but he got a huge majority of them (so far, not disproved) correct. The pursuit of science is not to prove theories correct, it is to disprove them through experimentation.
To counter those who try to compare the layman's definition of the word "theory" to a scientific "theory", perhaps this will help explain:
From Wikipedia:
The word "theory" has a number of distinct meanings in different fields of knowledge, depending on the context and their methodologies. In common usage, people use the word "theory" to signify "conjecture", "speculation", or "opinion." In this sense, "theories" are opposed to "facts" — parts of the world, or claims about the world, that are real or true regardless of what people think. (Wikipedia)
In the scientific community, a theory is "a proposed description, explanation, or model of the manner of interaction of a set of natural phenomena, capable of predicting future occurrences or observations of the same kind, and capable of being tested through experiment or otherwise falsified through empirical observation." In other words, a scientific theory (which Darwin's theories are) able to be tested, able to be proved false, and must be observable. Anyone listing the Bible as their source is not giving evidence to support a scientific theory, they are merely stating a claim (which is only an assertion that something is true or factual). Eventually, it may turn out that those who take the Bible literally are correct, but there is no scientific evidence backing their claims up.
To elaborate, the following are some current scientific theories: the theory of gravity, evolution, quantum mechanics.
An example of a theory that has been disproved: geocentric universe (the theory that the Earth is the center of the universe - that the Sun and the planets revolve around the Earth)
A non-scientific theory: Intelligent Design

It baffles me that so many can write an answer either for or against Darwin's Theory of Evolution as though it is fact. It is the THEORY of evolution, therefore there is no law stating whether it is true of false.
I also do not know how people can get so hostile when the word God is mentioned. Why are so many people afraid of believing in something that suggests that we need to be held accountable for our actions?! Religion is also a THEORY and has never been proven fact or fiction. Therefore if you believe in one theory such as Darwin's, what gives you the right to totally ignore that there is a possibilty of another theory? The beauty of religion is that you will never know if there is a God until it is too late and you must base your entire existence on belief and faith. No wonder it is hard for some to accept the possibility of it!
The bottom line is what YOU believe. Do not let anyone tell you what is in your heart and what you base your life principles on. That is something that only you can decide. If you want to believe that we are derived from apes and nothing more, then albeit. And if you want to believe that there is a more beautifully abstract answer, then good for you. Out of the two THEORIES that no one can prove or disprove, what is so wrong with chosing the more hopeful one? Maybe this world could use a little more hope.

I'm Christian-... I guess that explains the basics.
My faith in God's abilities and power is stronger than my understanding of how human life came about through evolution, from simple chains of molecules.
In response to others who may think I'm a "teenager" who believes in some fairytale "god" invention- grow up and learn how to agree to disagree.
In my mind, creationism and evolution cannot occupy the same spot on a timeline. Death is required for evolution to function. The less-fit must die to make room for the more-fit variations to live. There was no death until AFTER Adam and Eve were evicted from the Garden. I will gladly agree that evolution has clearly had an effect on many life forms AFTER that event.
An observation-- It seems that the more heated answers are coming from those who ascribe to Darwin's ideas.... It may be because of how you've worded your question. It may be because of other things.

I'm not sure, I haven't read Darvin's theory. I can see how some people would think it was a blunder - similar to someone trying to dismiss one of the greatest biologists of all time and doesn't even know how to spell his name? Do a little research before you let your religious brain-washing take over.

People who've spent a lot of time thinking about it, think Darwin has the best explanation that fits the available evidence without relying on a supernatural explanation. If you have a better explanation than Darwin's, you could publish it and see what people think.
Scientific theories can only be based in what can be measured and tested. There can be other ideas, but they're not theories.

there is not any terrific race. There are solid and undesirable human beings of each sort. Race is in straightforward terms a count number of visual allure; it has no longer something to do with your character. between the dumbest stereotypes is that Asians are basically born smart. that's no longer genuine. Having a definite visual allure does not basically immediately make you a genius. lots of them have relatively strict mothers and fathers and that motivates them to artwork. all people will succeed, all it takes is artwork ethic! i'm white and if it were as much as me, i could be super lazy and my Asian acquaintances tell me stuff like that too. yet via fact our mothers and fathers taught us the magnitude of problematic artwork, we study and make solid grades. back, all people can do it! some different dumb ones are that all of us black human beings are ghetto (i won't have the ability to have self assurance human beings certainly think of that), all center eastern human beings are terrorists, all white human beings are fat, etc. There are stereotypes approximately all people, however the terrific thank you to make certain previous them is to maintain your coronary heart and suggestions open and permit certainty to shape the way you think of issues are, rather than a prejudice.

Charles Darwin's theory is not a blunder at all. As a scientist, he synthesise the theory based from a careful observation and great analysis. I think his theory is very logical.

Oh my gawd...you teenagers are just plain silly.
Look. This "god" person exists to please yourselves and create a source of income for the church-type people and businesses. All of the debates are nothing but ammunition for income.
I hate religion and it's associated sociopaths. I do LOVE, however, the fact that you can make some big bucks off of the "faithful" and bleed em' dry.
My church was a hell of a tax write off and it's on a great piece of property down by the beach. When I'm ready to retire and give up the charade of turningn people towards religion and the god of their choice, I'll convert it into a 10 bedroom home complete with a porno movie room and billiard table. Hell, I've even got room to make a tennis court or two with the parking lot.
Thanks for all of the donations. You fools.

No.. because the theory is based on meticulous research and for now is the best scientific basis to explain the evolution of life on our planet.

Absolutely not! I suppose ancient atheists planted all the fossils and dinosaur bones that have been found! As for you religious folk, Who the flyin H are you to tell GOD how he created life? What vain, egotistical, yet naive boobs! Maybe GOD chose what we call evolution to create this miracle? Thats what I like about Christians! Always telling GOD how he did something!
