I've tried cropping the pic but need to show it, and its distorting it when I crop it too much

You should "resample" the picture instead of resizing it.

for this u can use Irfan View (download from http://www.irfanview.com/ )

Open the Picture in It
Now press Ctrl+R (to open Resize/Resample window)
After resampling it Save the Image.

If you have Adobe then all you do is resize the PICTURE to whatever size you want without loosing any resolution. Do not crop the picture or you will have distorting effects

You can not enlargen the image if it's in bitmap format. You need to convert it to vector form. To do this you need Adobe Illustrator or similar program. In Photoshop if you enlargen photos it makes the photo look worse (harder to see). You can however make the image smaller. Now if you want to make a photo exact size use Photoshop, but again if you enlargen the photo gets worse quality and hard to see (because of the pixels getting larger).

Try transforming the image to the required size using photoshop
