There in lies the problem. Basically the entire scientifical community would be in this huge consipracy, just like aliens and bigfoot.
What they say is, "there was this one time when this one date didn't work, so therefore, it never works." That's like seeing one batter strike out and concluding that it is impossible to get a hit in Baseball.
The thing I always say is, if ANY scientist could prove creationism true, and thus God's existance, they'd be all over that. Scientists are glory-hogs first, and they have no qualms about dealing a blow to their peer's research. Who would pass up the chance to prove the greatest scientific discovery (God) in history?

only if you take the bible literally.
I think it's possible for both explanations - creation and evolution. 7 days of creation doesn't necessarily mean "7 days" - could be steps, basically. So, create the universe, etc etc - and in the time between the creation of the universe, and man's arrival, all the other stuff could have happened. Hence the archaeological data. And man's appearance, while not a sudden event (as shown through evolution), could be done by god (as long as you don't take the bible to be a literal account of history).
Just a thought.

Most of the arguments I have heard about radio-isotope dating claims that geologists date the layers of earth based on their radio-isotope date, but that they determine the radio-isotope date by the layer of earth that the object is in. These people obviously don't understand and assume that geologists are just using circular reasoning. Considering that many Christians say that the Bible is divine word because God says it is, and God is divine because the Bible says he is, its not surprising to see them use that reasoning elsewhere.

Thats why most people in scientific circles consider Creationist science and the "young earth" idea bunk.

It is 2 different world. They don't see us or hear us and we don't see them or hear them. God created their world and our world was evolved. So carbon dating doesn't apply to their world since no scientist exist in their world.
SO stop proving anything
