I know what the question is: Why did they carry the French team along in a FIFA WC.
And I know the answer: Because the FIFA staff is mainly french.
So they bought the referees that were more likely to commit mistakes in favour of them and... the French got to the final.
If u see the penalty assigned in Portugal vs France you'll notice the defender only lifted his right foot to go for the ball. Then, he slipped and T.Henry dived to have a self-inflicted penalty in their favour.
But England's nº1 public enemy (i have his name though)) was inches from saving it...
