Technically it is possible. We have a company here in Singapore, Areva TD that helps in building nuclear power station. The last time i spoke to them a few months ago, they mentioned it is now very safe as compared to twenty years ago. However on how safe it is I am not sure.

Potential problem will be due to limited land resources and lack of knowledge on nuclear power among Singaporean. Singaporean may frown on the idea. But if we can built one, it will help in our economy and less dependency on oil.

Nuclear power has great potential given the present escalating oil prices.

(more research need to be done on the technicalities)

It is definitely not safe. There are far more disadvantage than advantage. Eg: 1) Nuclear radiation can affect the whole of Singapore; 2) Where are we going to dispose all the nuclear waste; 3) Cost of construction is very high; 4) Location of the nuclear power station; 5) Adverse effect of health on the workers.
Hope I have given you some useful hints

I don't think so. If there is a nuclear leak-out, the whole of Singapore will be affected.
Singapore land is too small to have a nuclear power station.
I wonder where the nuclear waste can be buried? In some off-shore islands?
