This is this week's question on www.scholastic.com/harrypotter/. I wanted to know how Yahoo answerers would answer it.
"As an underaged wizard, what would be your preferred method of travel and why? Broomstick, Portkey, Floo Powder, or Thestral-drawn carriage."
I expect that several of you are older than 'underaged' (older than 17), but first please answer the question as if you are an underaged wizard, and then tell me what you would choose if you had all wizard transportation available and if you were not an underaged wizard.
Also, please tell me WHY you chose your answer.

As an underaged witch, I think that I would prefer broomstick travel. Flying doesn't seem to have as many odd feelings of bellybutton pulling, you don't fall out of a dirty fireplace, and you can see what's making you go. As an of age witch, I'd prefer Apparation and still broomstick travel. Apparation because it would be very interesting to just "pop" to where you wanted to go and broomstick for the same reasons as when I was underaged. Very thoughtful question, and I'm happy to answer it.

Well, I am an underaged wizard, well sort of, I'm under 17 anyway, but I would choose Broomstick cuz I've always really wanted to fly. If I wasn't underaged I would just apparate, cuz it seems like it would be pretty cool.

i'm 13 so i'm uderaged.
I'd pick Thestral-drawn carriage, because I would be to afraid on a broomstick,portkeys are kind of nasty, and floo powder is not pleasant because i wouldn't like to pass through people's fire places. Plus i choose thestral-drawn carriage because i like animals and i like to enjoy the sights

Underage: I choose a Broomstick because it's cool.
Older: I choose Portkey because it's quick.

I hate broomStick coz I am afraid of heights.

probably floo powder. I am scared of heights so no broom. I am scared of heights so again no portkey. Thresal drawn carriage would be OK I suppose.

i would pick the thestral drawn carriage coz the others r all scary options ( i'm not that good with heights )
