He doesn't discuss things or communicate, but tells you things like switching off your air-conditioning at the mains. Make jibes about my spending habits and sends text messages everytime I forgot to turn the water heater off. and tells you that your tv standby mode is costing money and killing the environment. It peeves him that I can be better at something than he is. Otherwise, he is OK.

CLEA N UP YOUR ACT!

You'd hate me I unplug everything! No stand by mode here. But than again I don't tell other people about their appliances unless we're talking about our electric bill.

I think it would totally shock him if you unplugged everything that wasn't in use! It'd be funny too seeing him try to turn on a microwave that's unplugged or the TV. go for it let me know how it goes. If he asks why teach him about the phantom energy that is used even when you aren't using the item that's plugged in. Me I switched off all the breakers that are connected to things that I don't use (that I'm not even sure what they go too!)

Eh, I guess if it hasn't gotten ugly yet then maybe just ignore him but do point out that he is being unreasonable when he mentions your spending habits because that is really none of his business unless it's cutting into your share of rent. If you pay your equal half of everything then he really has no right to gripe!

it depends ,some needs to move or if your stuck find out what urks him and do it. and for laughs turn the TV off laugh at it , talk to it ask him if he wants to watch it with you and after about an hour and a half of that, look at him like he asked you to go to Alaska to find a tree walk off and make him wonder.

If it's that bad, you could move or ask him to move. Sounds like the two of you need to sit down and talk!

...balance brother...find some common ground...it sounds like each is on opposite sides of the planet...

...you are both right- he needs to lighten up a little, and you need to lug some load...

...being perfect for another is impossible, but don't stumble and fall on your faces for not even trying...

do you REALLY have to stay with this horribly unpleasant person?

make arrangements and them AMPUTATE this nagging person from your life.

don't you deserve some peace instead of a battle of the wills?
