Call your local ER's and find out if they offer the "morning after" pill. Preventing a pregnancy is different than aborting one later.

Abortion is a private issue between a woman and her doctor. The opinions of others have no bearing on the decision. Anyone that attempts to impose their moral values on another person needs to re-examine their own moral values.

Like another person asked, why do you focus on a soldier? I have to presume you have a situation involving a soldier. In any event, and with any rape (or other sexual misconduct) report it to the authorities immediately. If you did not report it immediately, correct that mistake and report it now. If you feel embarrassed, please talk to a peer and take the peer with you to make your report. The ER will take care of notifying the police for you.

The exam will not be pleasant. I know someone that requested their doctor give them a dose of Versed for the rape exam. Versed, along with having a sedating effect, also has an amnesiac-effect. This is nice as it causes you to have little or no memory of the procedure. With the right dosage, you remain awake, aware, and can answer questions to assist in the exam. After the exam is completed, you should have no traumatic memories of the exam. I am not sure what the legal ramifications are from using such a medication, but worry about that later. Your immediate concern is your health.

Good luck!

Abortion can be legal in this case because the child is unwanted. File a complaint and support it with lots of evidence. The unit commander of the soldier must be immediately informed for his preventive detention while the case is ongoing. Be prepared for any eventuality like facing the media and harassment.
