Stevie Ray Vaughan And Double Trouble at the State Fair Coliseum on December 15th 1985. The Fabulous Thunderbirds opened up for him. I was 16 years old and had ridden the bus from Corsicana, Texas...got there about 11 a.m....Stevie comes driving up in this beat up old Buick...I stood up on the ramp and held up a guitar neck of the first one I'd ever worn out from playing and he tipped his hat to me. Later I bribed the janitor $20 to let me inside so I could listen to Stevie jam during sound check...it was so cool and I will never forget it.
