The high cholesterol is probably not related to your joint pains. Cholesterol is determined mostly (85%) by your genetics (meaning family history) and 15% by diet and exercise. So while you can lower your cholesterol some with diet and exercise, chances are you will need a cholesterol lowering drug. It is important to lower your cholesterol because it is a risk factor for heart disease, stroke, and peripheral artery disease.

As far as you joint pains, you would have to give a more thorough history because joint pains can be due to osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, rheumatic fever, lyme disease, etc.

In short, please see your doctor and he will work out a plan for you to get your cholesterol under control

dont eat seafood , eggs , pork , beef. they all have high coresterall .eat a lot of vegetable,nuts,fish and check product label when you go shopping choose something coresterall free.
Sounds like you have weight problem too . exercise by swimming by this way it'll not effect your knee or joint . Cut out the sweet dessert or eat only little . try to eat less and eat only when you re hungry . you'll continaully lose weight be patient it 'll take some time

As per current research that i have come acroos having upto 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder preferably with honey ( devide over three meals), can bring down and maintain your LDL cholestrol down in no time, also increases your HDL chol. levels.

you should see your doctor for some meds...but you can start eating oatmeal to help with lowering it
