It is extremely hot outside and I am having one hell of a problem sweating. I can't wear light color clothing because I get huge wet spots under my arms and sometimes it stains. My sweat doesn't really stink, I just get extremely wet. I have tried EVERY single deodorant and anti-persperant and can't afford a doctor. Today, I tried baby powder but that didn't work either. Any suggestions, PLEASE!

Okay...I don't know whar part of America one of you live in...but the only free clinics around here are for pregnant women and their children and hospitals are not free. I did ask for those of you that didn't help at all to not waste my time to read ignorant answers...anyways-for those of you who tried to help thanks and for those of you reading now let me explain further. I can't wear tank tops to work and going to work is where I have the problem. I'm not getting botox (for one it is very expensive and it is not safe). For the other rude people...I shower daily and I am not overweight...so go and leave another useless answer elsewhere. So I will try the cornstarch...any more suggestions?

Save up some money and get botox treatments. It helps with profuse sweating.

ok, i want the world to know that real women sweat!!!!!
i sweat a lot, which is actually a good thing, although not a good feeling. its when you quit sweating that you need to worry. about those wet spots do like this, wear a tank top, or go braless, and wear a camisole with a built in bra. i think you are worried too much about this, which will probably cause you to sweat more, if you work and are required to wear light colored clothing, which is best in the heat, perhaps you can carry extra shirt or shirts, so you will have fresh ones to change into, you said your sweat has no odor, so i dont think you should be so worried. My daughter weighs all of 130 pounds , and she sweats profusely also, So I think maybe that weight isnt that big an issue with sweat, although if you are overweight its better for your health to shed those extra pounds it may not take care of the sweat problem.
it is very hot where i live too, and after five minutes outside,I sweat profusely..... I thought this was normal , I was told that those people you see who arent sweating are actually probably too dehydrated to sweat ..... which is actually a defense for your body against overheating internally. hope this helps, oh yeah, and cornstarch works great for me, always has, best of luck, just ask the doc.....

Ok, everybody can afford a doctor. This is America! There are free clinics and hospitals everywhere. You just have to pack a lunch, a pillow, a book and maybe some air freshener, but you can see a doctor.
In the meantime, are you over weight? This is a long term solution, but losing weight will help. Are you washing DAILY, rinsing thoroughly, drying (pat gently) thoroughly and then applying an antiperspirant to the entire armpit? Baby powder will only cause your pores to clog and give you cysts which will be aggravated by your sweat and you'll really be miserable!
You might also consider shaving, especially if you are a woman, but do it at night and don't use deodorants immediately after.
Use natural fibers in your clothing choices; preferably 100% cotton. Light in color because dark clothing conducts heat.
Are you a menopausal woman? Perimenopausal? This can also cause excessive sweating (hot flashes, my dear!) Avoid alcohol, spicy food, and prolonged outdoor stays. Drink WATER, not carbon filled drinks.
Good luck, and stop sweating the small stuff!

Well since it's summer, for those hot days try just wearing like a tank top to avoid the spots. It might even help you cool off even more. Wish I could be of more help :/ Keep up with the baby powder and anti-persperant deodorant tho.

For the most part I would agree with everyone before me, however in some cases I wouldn't have been so rude about it. Mostly, I agree that you should see a doctor. If you will tell me where you live (what state) I'll see if I can find some health links for you for free clinics or discounted clinics. If you would rather, you should be able to contact your local Department of Community Health Services. Hope that helps.

Have you tried cornstarch powder? (not wheaten cornstarch, but the proper corn based cornstarch powder). I had a friend who had a big sweat problem, and the only thing that helped her was surgery... if you've tried everything else it might be your only option.
As for clothing, cotton might be your best bet... it's cool and it "breathes".
Best of luck, sorry I wasn't much help...

I guess you need to check the doctor. The doc might suggest some medicine which can control sweating.

You can wear tank tops or you can wear a shirt that can breath. A sport shirt That has oles in it so you don't get hot as easy, especially when playing a sport.

Frequent showering and some weight loss together with the best anti-perspirant you've tried should do the trick.
