I haven't hit anyone or anything that I know of, but its really tender and looks sunken. There's no discoloration and its felt this way most of the day. Its the ring finger right at the base the first knucle.

It's possible that you just bashed it in your sleep. Your nightstand can be deadly if ya let it..lol . Seriously, more than likely you strained that finger and it's letting you know. If you have any swelling, discoloration, rash or even a bite you dint notice before, you may want to have a doc check it out. Mosy likely, he'll put a splint on it to keep it from moving to much so it can recover. Hope it feels better soon.

if its truly dislocated you won't be able to bend it. You may have just 'stoved' it, which is when u ram a finger down into your own hand. try GENTLY pulling on the finger, take rings off first. Also put ice on it if it its better soon, go to the ER.

ur finger wouldn't be straight and u couldn't move it at all. it's horrible pain to dislocate a joint, so if ur sitting there typing...it's not dislocated. u should still see a dr. if the pain continues.
