'Martin Laurence'.- Do check him out in this old Stand-up show of his, if u can-"YOU SO CRAZY".
I know people might not want to agree with me, but u got to really watch this guy in action to understand why i chose him. There are so many really funny stand-up comedians out there(men and women). But this guy was made for it. He is a comedian generally- cos he acts as well. But he's far funnier as a stand-up comic that as an actor. Either way, he is really funny.

Its all in his delivery and also in the fact that everything he talks about is ABSOLUTELY TRUE!!! That is why the funniest comedian on this earth HAS to be Chris Rock. Hands Down.
Chapelle and Jaime Foxx are good too
and then of course you have the originals - Eddie Murphy, George Carlin, Richard Pryor...

thats a rough one there are so many great stand ups out there.I mean george carlin is great and has been doing it for such a long time.i would have to say he is probably the best.for newer comedians carlos mencia and dane cook are very good

Without a doubt it has to be Bill Hicks for me....
The coolest, funniest most enlightened person to ever do stand up....
The guy never fails to crack me up and even now that he's dead, he's still number one on my list of fantasy dinner party guests.
