Congratulations on quiting!

I quit 4 1/2 YEARS ago and still have cravings...

when I am lonely, bored, feel like overeating, stressed, when I am around smokers, etc.

So I can not say that will go away for sure.

But for me I just keep reminding myself that I am healthier, don't smell like an ashtray, and am not wasting money on them. They do not control me. I will be around longer for my loved ones. I don't wake up coughing or with a sore throat anymore.

Remember the reasons you quit and remind yourself as often as you need too. You are worth living a life free from the habit.

Ask God to give you strength. And try to find something to take the place of cigs. I used to suck on mentholated cough drops a lot.

I'm having one right now. They are addictive, that's why. Manufacturers put nicotine in them and I hear it is harder to kick than heroin! I'd love to quit, but I keep making up excuses. The addiction, I understand is mostly in your head right now because after 3 days without nicotine it is supposed to be out of your system. Keep going! You are doing fine! Wish I were you on that account! Most cravings last 8 to 30 minutes. Tough it out. I have all the answers, but not the guts to just cut it out like you have. I'm proud of you KEEP NOT DOING IT!
