If you are trying to select 4 main pictures for your magazine, i think this will be the top 4:
- Mount Fuji
- A historical temple and/or shrines (most of them are in Kyoto)
- Tokyo at night. Best pick will be one of Ginza, the most exclusive shopping area (looks pretty similar to Time Square or Trafalgar Square, except japanese characters)
- Last one is can be either a picture of Noh, traditional japanese theater or one from a Sumo's fight.
I added a sightseeing guide to help you browse across the different options.

I am in the Air Force, currently stationed in Japan. some sights might include, Mt. Fuji-highest mt. in Japan, Hirosaki-which is home to castles and anchient samuri districts, the shima peninsula-which is home to Japan's most sacred shinto shrines, and you can visit Hiroshima-which the US dropped the a bomb in Aug 6 1945.

At least learn to search the Internet for your own answers. It's no harder than asking here.
