you laptop is infected with trozan and wrom virus. i also see possibilities of spyware. they are using your pc to send mails.
remedy:
Spybot Search & Destroy, download it here, its free
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html
install and run it only after you have updated for latest definitions.
secondly Adaware Se Personal Edition, its free again
you can downlaod it here
http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5
these two sofwares detect spyware and adware in your pc and remove it. please be sure to update latest definitions before running any of them.
thirdly, update your norton antivirus definitions adn then run it in through scan.
fourthly update you windows for latest patches, do you have win xp service pack 2???
after running all these, i would suggest you re-run them all, this time disconnecting it from network / internet.
these will take care of you problems to a great extent.
rest, if it doesnot cure your pc/ laptop, you need a complete formatting and reinstallation of all softwares including your OS (windows.) this is ofcourse under strict IT adv user supervision and should be treated as the last resort (avoid it as far as possible)
all the best

NORTON. It is evil, i know from experience. That program embeds itself into your computer so bad you have to wipe your whole drive to get rid of it. I had the same kind of problem, one day all of my settings kept changing, trying to open ANY folder would redirect me to search, i couldn't get into control panel, and i became a non-administrator on my computer!!! I had to erase everything and found out from my computer tech it was Norton. Now with it off my computer runs smoother then ever. I use yahoo anti-spy-ware and windows virus protect and i have no more bugs! Hope this helps, Jordan CA
