C1V1 = C2V2

Where C1 is the initial concentration (48%) and C2 is the final concentration (23%). V1 is in the initial volume and V2 is the final volume.

V2 - V1 = how much water you need to add to achieve the desired dilution

48% NaOH means 48 gm NaOH in 100 ml water

Let added water is x ml to convert 48% NaOH into 23% NaOH

then 48/(100+x)=23/100
100+x=48*100/23
x=108.69
