OK, lets try this: Most PC's today are housed in a tower. In side is a power supply and a cage to hold drive units. Then, standing up vertically is the mother board, all other internal components mount on it in sockets or slots. The CPU (or processor) is the "heart" of the system. The mother board will have the chip set etc. to support the CPU. Then in the slots you would have RAM and various cards. These would be video, sound, modem and network cards, for example. That is about the basics, there are other stuff. They interface the key board, mouse and external units, such as the monitor, printer etc.

Motherboard is the main board whrere almost of the all the components of a PC are installed (fixed) but the Processor is the main processing unit which is also fixed on the motherboard. Please try to understand, dear!

think of the processor as the brain of the computer.

the motherboard is more like your nerves. signals come in from various components and are relayed to the processor. the processor then processes the information and tells the connected components what to do.
