I miss actors. Honestly, I watch TV to escape my mundane life, not to revel in boring goings-on of others. I don't care about your stupid house, your greed, or your hair. I want to see what happens with Rory and Logan now that Lane is married and Lorelai is doubting Luke!
At any rate, reality shows never have good comedy. Gimme a practiced one-line zinger any day.

Despite them sprouting here, there and everywhere - television manages to dish out some intelligent and really interesting "reality" shows. One is "The Amazing Race". Watching this program is a great way to travel the world, see the sights, and broaden one's cultural knowledge. It's pretty clever how the show is structured. But what's pretty redundant and old about these reality shows is that there has to be a prize every time! Well, I guess that's what keeps the shows ticking - not only the contestants/participants but the viewers, too - have to keep their eyes on the prize. It makes for good ratings. Plus, the producers don't have to shell out a lot of money for big-name stars. Because they're the ones who MAKE the stars.

It's not reality really. I say Fear Factor more like a exterme game show then reality shot. Other than that, most reality shows are so fixed. Those networks prolly wotk with some good and clever marketing and pyschologists/similar prefessons to find people for these shows. A lot of people on the shows are really big drama queens. Put a bunch of them in a stressful situation... boom they got their ratings... Some are lower than others. I feel that realtiy shows concerning dating might fill impressionable minds with some misconceptions on human relations.

I can't stand the reality shows, the only decent reality shows out there are American Idol and COPS, I miss the way television used to be back in the 70's, 80's and early 90's.

I do not consider real TV as a reality show but it is one truly. I think I know what you are trying to say. I hate reality TV more then almost anything else on earth.

Haven't turned on the TV in over a month. Rather read a good book- or even a mediocre book.
( Oh, yeah- Cops- the "Let's Violate Their Constitutional Rights" gameshow)

Some good - mostly bad. The original Joe Schmo was pretty good, except at the very end when he found out that everyone was an actor. So sad.
