open media player, go to TOOL menu, chose OPTIONS, and in options go to FILE TYPES section. you can select or unselect media player to play a specific sort of file(s). Other way is to right click on a file and chose PROPERTIES and then change the OPEN WITH part of the properties.

it is too simple to change a player to default player.....
1st of all :
- right click on any file that u want to play on ur other player..
- then click on OPEN WITH
- then choose the player that u want to play that file
- then click on ALWAYS USE THE SELECTED PROGRAMME TO OPEN THIS TYPE OF FILE..........
- then click OK........
- now ur player is make default player & icons of ur files must also changed.........
